Nisqually Earthquake
Our GPS processing tools are flexible enough to provide a rapid response
to any project.
After the Nisqually Earthquake, near Puget Sound in the state of Washington,
GPos produced some of the first regional displacement measurements before
the earthquake effects were completely assessed.
These measurements from RPT1, a site near the epicenter, taken around the
time of the earthquake show both instantaneous motion caused by the
earthquake and slow relaxation to its new position.
